Privacy Policy

Sukicam (“Sukicam,” “we,” “us”) is an early-stage company based in San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA. You can reach us any time at privacy@sukicam.com.

• Contact details you give us, such as the email address you submit to join the waitlist or to contact us.
• Photos and camera data, once the app is live. These are the image frames you choose to analyze so we can return composition suggestions. See the next section.
• Usage and device data, meaning basic, largely aggregated information about how the app and site are used, to fix bugs and improve the product.
• Communications, meaning the contents of messages you send us.

This is the part that matters most, so here are our commitments for the launched product:

• Transient processing. Image frames you send for suggestions are processed to generate compositions and are not retained longer than needed to return a result, unless you explicitly save something to your account.
• No training without consent. We will not use your personal photos to train our models unless you clearly opt in. Opting in is never required to use the app.
• You own your photos. The pictures you take remain yours. We claim no ownership of your content.
• Deletion. You can delete saved content and your account, and we will delete the associated data on our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations.

As we build, the precise technical details may evolve. We’ll update this policy and keep these commitments front and center.

• To provide and improve the app and website, including generating composition suggestions.
• To respond to your messages and manage the waitlist.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with service providers that help us run Sukicam, such as cloud hosting, model inference, and email delivery, under agreements that limit their use of it. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove you or the waitlist ends. Photo frames used for suggestions are handled as described in Section 3.

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or California’s CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@sukicam.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we design with data minimization in mind, collecting as little as we can, for as short a time as we can.

Sukicam is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We’ll update this policy as the product develops, especially before launch. When we make material changes, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
